The aim of this seminar is to deliver basic notions of the methods and results of functional neuroimaging as a research approach in the clinical neurosciences. At the end of the course, participants should have acquired the competence to understand and critically evaluate functional neuroimaging studies.

Functional neuroimaging methods have made it possible to visualize neural activity in cognitive and emotional processing in the healthy and in clinical populations. Insights from this studies changed our understanding of how the brain works, and are having an impact on models of clinical disorders such as disorders of affect.
