In this course we will deal with different literary genres and translate them from German to French.

Poems, fairy tales, books for young children, parts of prosa texts, paratexts for literary publications... Students will work with very different texts in order to get a new experience about literary translation and to train their language creativity.

Students will have to prepare translation assignments individually and within the specified time. These assignments will serve as a basis for interactive lessons (discussions! questions! active participation! ideas!).

Evaluation of the quality of the translations you do throughout the course.

Students will receive all information about relevant literature as well as worksheets, source texts, etc. (files, copies or master copies - any copy costs will be collected at the end of the semester) in class.

Attendance of the first lesson is a pre-requisite.
