basic concepts of morphological and syntactical typology; overview of language families on each continent, exemplary illustration of selected languages, language families and types of languages

Overview on modern language typology and language universals; different typological paramters (phonological, morphological and syntactical) will be exemplified with texts.

Will be discussed in the first lesson.

Recommended after completion of the VU Grundlagen des phil.-kult. Studiums. The VO Languages of the World should be completed or attended in parallel.
