In 2018, the last place of Coal prodution in the Ruhr Valley ist going to close. Our excursion will concentrate on the transformation from feudal to modern society in the Ruhr Area and the nearby Westphalia. We will visit Castles of the regional nobility of the 18th-Century, urban spheres of working-class and white-Collar workers of the 19th-Century and the Ruhrmuseum at "Zeche Zollverein" in Essen (world cultural heritage).
