Students demonstrate their ability to write a Bachelor thesis using relevant sociological theories and adaquate methods of sociiological research

This seminar provides a supervision to the process of planning and writing your Bachelor thesis, in particular in a) formulating a title, research question and first assumptions, b) searching for literature and writing a chapter on the state of research, c) defining central concepts, making decisions on theoretical frameworks and adequate methods of social research, d) giving a time schedule for writing the thesis. At the end oft he semester, participants shall have written an exposé which provides a basic structure for writing the BA thesis.

Interactively. Introductory lectures, reading and discussing scientific literature, written and oral exercises for wirint a Bachelor thesis, also by e-lerning methods.

Regular and active attendance of the seminar, timely submittal of exercises and the version 2 of the exposé by the end of the semester are required for enrolment to the BA thesis. Seminar attendance is assessed after submittal of the BA thesis.
