Advanced competence in the critical discussion of ontological naturalism.

Ontology and its application in (e.g.) biology, psychology, ethics, theology.
Implications of the acceptance / refusal of universals for an understanding of laws of nature; ontology of events and its applications in philosophy of mind; artefacts and organisms; persons: ontology and applied ethics; the relevance of ontology for theological questions.

Lecture inputs and discussion.

Oral exam.

Will be discussed in the first lesson.

For Bachelor's Programme in Philosophy at the Faculty of Catholic Theology (C 033 194): positive completion of compulsory modules 2 and 3.
For Diploma Programme in Catholic Theology (C 011): positive completion of compulsory module 1 (first part of studies).
