The students know about the world wide economic interrelationsships, the neoliberal processes of gloablization and their gender specific impacts; they can define relevant actors, dynamics and interests in the South and the North. We will explore feminist tools to analyse these complex structures and possible perspectives of action of international women's networks.

From a feminist perspective globalization and its current neoliberal pattern are seen as a world wide dominant process. We will discuss caracteristic features of the often contradictory tendencies of globalization and the unequal distribution of resources and possibilites of access, especially when comparing the countries of the South and those of the North and the impacts on gender relations. Examples of international women's networks we will described as alternatives, possibilities of resistance and ways of empowerment.
