To deal competently with questions of applied ethics.

In the context of a project run by 18 Austrian Universities and scientific institutions (UniNEtZ) the SDG number 16 „Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions“ is located at the University of Innsbruck. This is a unique occasion for our class to serve as a platform for dealing with the topic of peace and justice, whereby not only the relationship between men, but also between men and non-human animals will be discussed. An inclusive understanding of peace and justice implies that it is important to perceive and ‘sense’ as many voices as possible, including the silent and rarely noticed ones. This matches with the SDG-principle to leave no one behind. How could the listening to the quiet contribute to a society with less violence and less injustice between men, and between men and non-human-animals?

Presentation and discussion of relevant topics.

Preparation and presentation of a poster, participation in the discussion.
