winter semester 2020/2021 | Last update: 07.12.2020 | Place course on memo listbasic knowledge of philosophy of religion as well as the capability of analyzing, interrelating and reflecting it; advanced philosophical reasoning; transdisciplinary competence.
We familiarize ourselves with currents of contemporary Chinese (political) philosophy and study one of its most famous representatives, Zhao Tingyang and his interpretation of the principle tianxia. In doing so, we examine similarities as well as differences to Western philosophy and discuss possible effects of different ideological traditions on the world in which we live.
