The Digital Turn is proclaimed as one of the most important media shifts in history; only to be compared with the invention of the print. As a result, digital life and book culture are seen as antagonists and allies, all in one. We will discuss some of recent interpretations. In addition, the course will take part in the conference “Digital change – telling a historical break”, which should be held in Innsbruck in January 2021.
