Romanesque art in Austria is a comprehensive excursion to monuments of architecture, sculpture, wall paintings, early panel paintings and crafted arts (minor arts) of medieval treasuries as goldsmithing. The excursion facusses on centers for high medieval art as Salzburg, Regensburg, Aquileia and Venice and their impact on the Eastern Alpine regions of Austria (Upper- and Lower Austria, Styria, Carinthia, and Tirol).

This lecture requires continuous assessment based on active participation and written and oral exams/ presentations on location.
