Students are familiar with the fundamentals of digital signal processing. In particular they are familiar with the spectral properties of discrete time systems. They understand that sampling of continuous signals in the time domain does not necessarily lead to loss of information. They also possess basic knowlegde in stochastic signal processing.
LTI systems, convolution, transfer function; sampling theorem; discrete fourier transform (DFT), fast fourier transform (FFT); data windows; z-transform; digital FIR- and IIR filters; stochastic signals and processes, stationarity and ergodicity; probability density functions, auto- and cross correlation functions, power spectral density.
Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations".
Will be discussed in the first lesson.
