The students know the framework conditions of religious education at secondary level II and are able to plan, lead and assess religious teaching and learning processes in a competence-oriented way. They are able to conceptualise school pastoral offers in a plurality-sensitive and school type-specific way.

• Social, scholastic and ecclesiastical context of religious education at general and vocational secondary and intermediate schools.
• Introduction to the basic theological concepts of current curricula and religion books
• Competency-oriented lesson planning and performance assessment
• New forms of teaching and learning
• Pastoral care in schools and religious exercises
• Didactic reflection on teaching materials

Lecture and discussion; elaboration of the topic using a variety of social and working forms
