Thorough knowledge and capabilities in the reflexive application of diagnosis methods of work and organizational psychology as well as knowledge about the respective theoretical concepts, oriented towards the humanization of work-life and criteria of economic and societal sustainability. Competencies to communicate w&o psychological criteria to economists and technicians.

In the case of specific problems, the application of standardized job and work analysis instruments in enterprises is suggested by the reformed Austrian Employee Health and Safety law (ASchG 2013), especially within the obligatory annual xprevention times. Work analysis and organization diagnosis investigates and evaluates in how far work tasks, working conditions, equipment as well as specific characteristics of enterprises and other organizations contain a conducive or degrading or imperilling potential concerning psychological characteristics and wellbeing of employees. Assessment criteria encompass the absence of damage, of annoyance, further the promotion of personality and the reasonableness of work and organization. Benefits and limitations of representative work and organizational analysis instruments (e.g. JDS, WDO, ISTA, SALSA, REBA, KABA, SoMoA, Social and Organizational Climate Questionnaire, Questionaire for the Analysis of Self-endangering Work) will be compared considering scientific and practice-oriented quality criteria. These instruments are used to analyse and evaluate e.g. the following features: Organizational structure, organizational and leadership climate, causes and effects of work stress, communication and cooperation, cognitive skill requirements, motivation potential. as areas of office and administrative work, industrial manufacturing, or modern service work are considered. References to Clinical Psychology will be presented.

Criteria ofwork humanization will be demonstrated via video cuts, too. Tutorials (based on case studies) will be performed to support the active acquisition of job / work analysis instruments serving practice-related purposes.
