Participants know about psychodynamic models of functionning and change, fundamental strategies in psychotherapy research, recent methods in diagnostics and are able to create a design for research-plans in this field.
Besides introducing basic psychodynamic theories we develop and discuss models of funcionning and change and basic strategies in psychotherapy research. We learn about and practice methods to access aspects of psychic funcionning (symptom, conflict, structure,…). Furthermore we discuss limits of diagnostics in psychotherapy. Finally we design our own study and discuss the implementation of reaseach in pracitical work.
