The students learn to acquire a reflexive and explorative attitude towards professional practice through observation of pedagogical actions. They are enabled to understand and critically analyse the causes, dimensions and consequences of educational practices.

Observation is not only a scientific research method but also a requirement for a professional reflection of pedagogical actions. In the course, various techniques and forms of observation are taught in different contexts and fields of action (e.g. schoolyards, playgrounds). These experiences and contents enable a broader view of (one's own) practice and an examination of its effects and implications.
