summer semester 2022 | Last update: 14.09.2023 | Place course on memo listThe students know the criteria of scholarly texts and know of the steps needed to write such texts. In the course of writing their BA-thesis, the students have developed the skills to apply this knowledge about scholarly texts in their own research project.
The seminar focuses on both the research process as well as the process of writing up the BA-thesis. In addition, questions concerning research topics and methods that arise in the course of conducting the BA thesis are discussed in the course.
Exercises dealing with the planning of the research process as well as scientific reading and writing skills. Discussion of research ideas, plans, methods and the topic of scientific writing; elaboration of research questions; presentation of results, feedback.
Course with formative assessment, i.e., students are graded on the basis of written and/or oral tasks assigned regularly over the term.

Participants are expected to have knowledge in gender studies and to have visited courses in the field.
