Since the 19th century, the idea of "kenosis of Christ" (Phil 2,7) has increasingly become the focus of Christological reflection. Students will be enabled to discuss the various approaches (biblical, systematic) and to examine them for their significance for a non-triumphalistic witness of the universal salvific significance of Jesus. In this context, the talk of the "God-forsakenness of Jesus" according to the spirituality of Chiara Lubich will receive special attention.

The idea of the "kenosis of Christ" has gained new significance in the Protestant tradition since the 19th century. The seminar discusses the biblical interpretations and the systematic drafts with regard to the question of what significance this orientation must gain for a present-day witness to Christ. The women's mysticism of the 20th century, especially the spirituality of the founder of the Focolare movement, Chiara Lubich, will gain special attention for this.

Presentations and discussion with systematic securing of results.
