summer semester 2022 | Last update: 27.01.2022 | Place course on memo listLearning and understanding transactional (business) law, drafting contracts and professional communications, receiving of business analysis tools and negotiating skills, experience as a negotiator, and having fun - all through interactive learning and practical hands on experience. The focus is giving students a chance to apply what they’ve learnt in the course (and in life) by letting them experience a real business negotiation from start to finish within the controlled environment of the classroom.
Students will gain insight into the dynamics of negotiating and structuring international business transactions, learn about the role that lawyers and/or business advisors play in these negotiations, and experience drafting communications and actual negotiations.
Negotiating skills, business transactions, drafting skills, commercial agreements (license, supply and Joint venture), intercultural competences, fun.
Simulation of an international business negotiation and presentations with active class participation.
Short pre-course assignment, active participation (including sending each other letters) and a final assignment.
“Daniel D. Bradlow and Jay Gary Finkelstein, NEGOTIATING BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS: An Extended Simulation Course”. Access will be given to online versions of all the required reading material (some which you may print/download and others which you may not).

Also mandatory is the attendance of the first information session on March 15, 2022, 9:00am-9:30am! Students who signed up for the course and those on a wait list will be sent the link prior to March 15, 2022. If students do not attend the intro session, students from the waitlist will be signed onto the course.
Registration is possible until March 1, 2021.
This special course is organized by AIANI (Austria-Israel Academic Network Innsbruck) of the University of Innsbruck in collaboration with Prof. Assaf Ben-David from the Harry Radzyner Law School at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya in Israel as well as the Law School of the University of Innsbruck and the Peking University in China. This is a rare opportunity for students to take part in a unique course together with students from Peking University in China, and learn the art of international business negotiations. Registration is required and there is a limited number of participants (max. students). Attendance is mandatory in 8 out of the 9 sessions (and you are not permitted to miss any of the first 3 sessions).

Start: Beginn: The course dates will be published shortly (may and June 2022). A mandatory introduction session will take place on March 15, 2022 at 9:00am (30 minutes). The link for the session will be sent to all students who signed up, also those on the waitlist, before March 15, 2022.
