The seminar provides practical insights into the situation of agriculture in its various manifestations (agro-industry, smallholder agriculture, subsistence farming) and into regional development processes in countries of the North as well as the South. Theoretical approaches as well as studies and case studies are used to show the realities of life, problem areas and contradictions.
