The graduates have basic methodological and theoretical knowledge of media and communication research and are able to critically assess research results. Furthermore, they have a basic understanding of the applicability of theories of media and communication studies.

Imparting, advancing and practising of methodological competences in the field of qualitative and quantitative empirical media and communication research.

This course serves as introduction to the basics of empirical approaches in media and communication studies. Project oriented and on the basis of hands-on-sessions, we will explore basic tools of quantatitive and qualitative approaches.
