In addition, they have specific knowledge in a current area of media practice (e.g. in the field of methods of visual communication, political communication or knowledge and scientific communication.
Imparting knowledge of different forms and techniques of writing for the various media formats and their application, also in the form of communication training.
Media and communication. The course outlines the following areas: communication in modern society, usage and effects of media, news, writing, interview-training, statements, dramatic composition of articles, image-choosing and image-description, visits of several editorial departments and evaluation of the exsercises done in class.
In the first part of the course, students will learn how to explain concepts and ideas by writing and the rules of written communication. We will elaborate texts in groups, which will be discussed and graded in class.
The second part of the course will teach verbal and nonverbal communication in theory and practice and will demonstrate how language develops and appears to the auditor. The focus lies thereby on reading and presenting topics.
