The aim of the seminar is to have a critical look at theories of class analysis. After attending the course, students will be familiar with central social science debates on the topic.
The seminar deals with basic theoretical texts on the spectrum of Marxism class theory. In addition, current debates on classism are presented and discussed following Bourdieu and Kemper.
Processing and discussion of literature, group work
Term papers and text work.
At the beginning of the semester, a reader with the compulsory literature is made available on the eLearning platform
