Critical examination of archaeological and written source material, linking of historical and archaeological arguments, competence to present local historical contexts.
Travelling Northern Italy (Brescia, Verona, Ravenna, Bologna), visiting excavantions, monasteries, libraries and museums.
Lecture, discussions and students' presentations at the excursion.

For participants of the MA History (803) and the Teacher Training Programme History (313) the excursion is only valid in combination with 640035 (UE 1). They will receive ECTS-credits according to their curriculum.
The lecture attendant on the excursion 640034 is recommended for all participants.
