The students gain in-depth insights into special perspectives and working techniques of the various topics within the architecture and set individual emphases.

GenderSpace - Feminist strategies in space production and appropriation of space.

The course analyzes the interconnection of gender, race and class along key texts, blogs and artistic interventions in public space. How is built the city? What are regulations and exclusions – where are gaps? These issues will be reflected along the interdisciplinary gender studies and gender-friendly building will be critically discussed.

Reading and discussion of texts, research and reflection on thematic blogs and artistic interventions, short papers as a basis for discussion. Essays by students. City walks in small groups of no more than three people. Lecture, ongoing inputs and monitoring of papers and interventions by the course instructor.

Compulsory attendance, presentation, essays. Conception of an intervention in the public space of Innsbruck or in the student's place of residence. Elaboration of a glossary with central feminist terminis.

Will be discussed in the first lesson.
