The students acquire an understanding of how architecture is embedded in a cultural and geographic context.

EX-ROME

The excursion will be in Rome and it will take place in September 2022. We will of course visit ancient roman architecture, such as the Colosseum, the Pantheon and the Villa Adriana, and classic masterpieces such as San Pietro, Bramante’s Tempietto and Borromini’s San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane, but also 20th Century districts such as the EUR, the Garbatella and the Villaggio Olimpico, as well as contemporary icons such as Renzo Piano’s Parco della Musica, Zaha Hadid’s MAXXI Museum and Massimiliano Fuskas’ “La Nuvola”. In the meantime, we will enjoy the bella vita and visit some local architectural practices.

Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations".

Will be discussed in the first lesson.
