The course offers a compressed repetition, consolidation and deepening of the basics of Ancient Greek grammar in a block course. It is primarily oriented towards the needs of students who need this knowledge in order to take an examination for other courses during the current semester, which require the translation of simple to medium complex ancient Greek texts into German. In addition, all other students who are in need of knowledge of Ancient Greek for their studies are offered the opportunity to refresh, supplement and systematize their acquired knowledge in this field.

Morphology of ancient Greek (nomina, adverbs, verbs ...), syntax of ancient Greek (parts of the sentence, syntax of the simple sentence, types of the extended sentence ...).

Presentation of the course contents by the course leader; consolidation of the presented contents by discussion with the students on the basis of selected text samples. Handouts are provided on OLAT for individual preparation for meetings.

Oral exam at the end of the course
