- Empirial observation of the speech behaviour of dialectophone speakers in Tyrol and South Tyrol.
- Creation of an own database and work with an already existing database (OIM, e.g. https://www.italianismi.org/scheda-italiano/assessorato/6009).
- Classification and categorisation of the borrowed material on a quantitative and qualitative level (e.g. involved borrowing processes).
- Interpretation of linguistic trends.
- Language contact between spoken (South) Tyrolean and the various Romance languages (above all Italian, but also French, Spanish, possibly Ladin and Rhaeto-Romanic).
- Man emphasis on the lexicon, i.e. borrowings from the Romance languages.
- Input on terms such as italianism, romanism, borrowing, interference, codeswitching, dialect, spoken/colloquial language, etc.
- Collection of italianisms / romanisms in everyday language use, collection of linguistic data (e.g. audio recordings of spontaneous conversations, interviews/surveys on effective language use, participant vs. non-participant observation, possibly collection of whatsapp messages).
- Comparison of the collected data with previous research literature, etymological dictionaries and (dialect) dictionaries.
- Creation of an own database.
- Feeding the data into the OIM platform.
- Active participation in the research project (data collection, data synchronization, feeding the data into a database).
- Research report at the end of the project seminar (working time and content, personal impressions and experiences, listing and discussion of the collected data).
