Presentation and discussion of research results of the dissertation project in gender studies.

The aim of this course is to work on and with the empirical material collected. This means that in addition to a theoretical outline of the project and the research question, the methodological survey should be briefly presented. Embedded in this, the participants bring their own data material from their dissertation projects in the field of gender studies. The survey should have been conducted using selected methods of qualitative social research. In the seminar, the interlocking of method, theory and research question can be reviewed, first evaluations of the collected material can be discussed or the presentation of the analysis results can be addressed, and much more.

Participants bring their own data material from their dissertation projects in the field of gender studies, which was collected using qualitative social research methods, to the seminar and present initial analysis steps or analysis results for discussion.

Attendance, participation, oral presentation of dissertation research results in the field of gender studies (dissertation expose, sample analyses, interim results or individual chapters of the dissertation).

The seminar is primarily aimed at doctoral students of the Innsbruck Doctoral College “Gender and Gender Relations in Transformation: Spaces - Relations – Representations” as well as PhD students whose dissertation project is theoretically and thematically in the field of gender studies.

Participation is conditional on the presentation of own data material collected by means of qualitative social research methods in the seminar, as well as on the presentation of initial analysis steps and analysis results for discussion.
