summer semester 2024 | Last update: 27.11.2023 | Place course on memo listAcquisition of the skill, to formulate a suitable question on a topic in Modern History after the research discussion. ability to analyse a topic supported by sources; ability to present the research results in an appropriate way with regards to contents and form; skill to critically reflect on the relevance and the methods of own’s own work.
The seminar is funded by the Euregio Mobility Fund. A course with the same focus will take place at the Università degli Studi di Trento.
The students, who will be introduced to the multi-layered topic of "resources" by their own teachers using the example of the area of the historical Tyrol/Euregio, will meet twice during the course with the other teachers and students ofTrento and, in addition to these joint seminar units, will go on two excursions (April/May) to the respective surroundings on previously agreed focal points. These are subsidised by the Euregio Mobility Fund.
The thematic focus is on natural resources (water, wood, raw materials...) as well as intangible resources (offices, functions, career opportunities) and last but not least on knowledge resources/know-how in a tour d'horizon from the 15th to the 20th century. The aim is to shed light on the various resources, access to them, their utilisation and exploitation, loss and scarcity, the associated exchange and transfer in the historical Tyrol and to identify similarities and differences within the Euregio.

Regular and active participation; oral presentation; written final paper, 2 field trips
Positive assessment of two modules from the elective modules 1 to 6! The respective proof ought to be produced until the end of April 2024.
