Learning Outcome:

Students are able to conduct experiments that examine the effects of chemical exposure on organisms, quantify those effects across scales (genetic, physiological, ecological), and analyze the produced data.

Contents:

Application of experimental work, as well as genetic, physiological and ecological measurements, to quantify the effects of chemical exposure on selected animal species. Statistical analyses of data.

Remarks:

The course will be taught in English.

The aquatic part (Seppälä) is organized as an excursion to the Research Department for Limnology, Mondsee (May 6-10, 2024).

The terrestrial part (Srut) will take place at the Institute of Zoology and partly online (May 13-19 2024).
