The students explain causes of social change and its consequences for parenthood, family and childhood from the perspective of gender, inequality and difference research. They assess the significance of changes in parenthood, family and childhood for educational practice.

Parenthood, family and childhood are discussed as historical social forms and parents and children as actors of social change. The question of which differences make a difference is discussed from the perspective of gender, inequality and difference research. The significance of the change in parenthood, family and childhood for pedagogical practice is discussed using selected examples in which the change can be seen and demonstrated.
