Module 16: French Literature, History and Society (7.5 ECTS-Credits, 4 h)
Prerequisites for registration: Positive completion of compulsory modules 3, 7 and 8.
Learning Outcome: Through the module "Litterature, histoire et société en France" the students are familiar with the various periods of French literary history with close attention to the main political and social developments. With special attention to all the genres, they have practised analytical and interpretational competences with examples which go back to the literary science competences acquired in the "Basics". Students are made aware of the dynamic relations between literature, politics and society and can make topics out of the meaning of literature for the collective memory and out of questions of national identity.
