1. 10 ECTS-Credits must be passed by elective module 1 or 2 (second Slavonic language) and 20 ECTS-Credits by passing elective module 3 and 5 (literary/cultural studies) or by passing elective modules 7 and 9 (linguistics). 2. Another 30 ECTS-Credits must be passed either from a. complementary modules (complementary modules are modules from other curricula corresponding to 30 ECTS-Credits, providing the availability of places; they are dis-closed in the University of Innsbruck Bulletin. Or b. from elective modules 11 to 16 or c. in form of an advanced study. 3. Advanced studies are possible in the field of "Slavonic Literature and Cultural Studies" and "Slavonic Linguistics". If an advanced study field is selected, then the Master¿s Thesis must be written in the selected advanced study field. a. By passing elective modules 4, 6 and 11, the advanced study is passed in the field of "Slavonic Literary and Cultural Studies". b. By passing elective modules 8, 10 and 11, the advanced study is passed in the field of "Slavonic Linguistics".

Elective Module 2: Command of Language: Second Slavonic Language Polish (10 ETCS-Credits, 4 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Advancing of language-practical skills, which enable well-founded text work from analysis to production. Acquisition of knowledge about regional, social and situational language variants and its use in concrete discourse. Developing language-reflective competences for analysing the links between language on the one hand and culture, society and history on the other. Target level: B1 of CEFR
Elective Module 4: Selected Fields of Russian/Slavonic Literature 1 (10 ECTS-Credits, 2 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Competence to independently develop, analyse, present and develop complex, subject-related, methodical and theoretical interrelationships and issues. There must be a clear thematic difference to elective module 3.
Elective Module 7: Slavonic Linguistics (10 ECTS-Credits, 3 h) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Specialised knowledge of theories and methods as well as their independent application on Slavonic language material; criteria for the classification and critical evaluation of the studies and theories.
Elective Module 8: Slavonic Linguistics 1 (10 ECTS-Credits, 3 h) (no courses)

Elective Module 9: Research Seminar Slavonic Linguistics (10 ECTS-Credits, 2 h) (no courses)

  COURSES Elective Module 12: Interdisciplinary Competences (10 ECTS-Credits)
Prerequisites for registration: The prerequisites specified in the respective curricula must be met.
Learning Outcome: This module serves to expand the study programme as well as the acquisition of additional qualifications.
Providing the availability of places, courses corresponding to 10 ECTS-Credits may be taken from the curricula of other Master's and/or Diploma programmes at the University of Innsbruck. It is particularly recommended to take a course dealing with gender aspects including results of women's and gender research.
Elective Module 13: Practice I (5 ECTS-Credits) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students apply their acquired knowledge and skills in a professional environment ac-cording to §2 par. 3. Having completed this module, the students are familiar with the conditions of the professional and/or scientific practice.
To test and apply the acquired knowledge and competences or to ori-entate on the conditions of the professional practice and to acquire additional qualifications, students of the Master's Programme in Slavonic Studies can pass an internship covering 5 ECTS-Credits (or 120 hours resp.) The practice can be also made during the lecture-free period. Before starting the internship, it must be approved by the Director of Studies. The duration, scope and contents of the work done must be confirmed by the institution in writing and presented. A report on the internship must be written. Elective modules 13 (Practice I) and 14 (Practice II) can be passed in the same institution. This corresponds to a scope of 15 ECTS-Credits (or 360 hours).
Elective Module 14: Practice II (10 ECTS-Credits) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Students apply their acquired knowledge and skills in a professional environment ac-cording to §2 par. 3. Having completed this module, the students are familiar with the conditions of the professional and/or scientific practice.
To test and apply the acquired knowledge and competences or to orientate on the conditions of the professional practice and to acquire additional qualifications, students of the Master¿s Programme in Slavonic Studies can pass an internship covering 10 ECTS-Credits (or 240 hours resp.) Elective Module 15: Individual Choice of Specialisation (20 ECTS-Credits) (no courses)
Prerequisites for registration: The prerequisites specified in the respective curricula must be met.
For individual specialisation modules corresponding to a maximum of 20 ECTS-Credits can be freely chosen from the Master's Programmes offered at the University of Inns-bruck.
