Compulsory Module 7: Digital Image / Communication Design (8 ECTS-Credits; 6 h)
Prerequisites for registration: none
Learning Outcome: Graduates - know the fundamental functions of apparatuses and programmes for digital image and text design; - use (audio)visual media in consideration of creative aspects for producing and editing of images and multimodal information offers; - are able to substantiate the use of visual signs with semiotic and media-scientific theories and models; - follow the development of visual media with regards to technology, culture and society and expand their competences in this field and consider them appropriately; - expand their understanding of arts and media with their own practice and reflection; - are able to use their understanding of arts and media for their creative-visual and pedagogical work; - are aware of the ethical and moral implications of visual design, consider them and are able to pass this knowledge on to their pupils.
The contents of the courses of this module are closely connected to the artistic practice of the students.
