Die pragmatische Alternative zum Positivismus zu erläutern.
Für den Wienerkreis war theoretische Physik die Wissenschaft par excellence. Aber es waren vorwiegend Physiker mit einer philosophischen Ausbildung, die den Physikalismus als wissenschaftstheoretisches Ideal in Frage gestellt haben: Michael Polanyi, Thomas Kuhn, Stephen Toulmin, Norwood Russell Hanson, Patrick Heelan u.a.. Andere Wissenschaftstheoretiker zu diskutieren sind Karl Popper, Imre Lakatos, Evelyn Fox Keller u.a.
