Competency to explain the content and meaning of the Christian teaching of the Trinity and Christology; to describe its historical development and its current significance

Concise presentation of the central Christian faith convictions about the One God in three persons and the incarnation of God. The faith of the Church of the first centuries will be analyzed and placed in a productive tension between two current developments: a mentality that banalizes religion by placing it on the same level with other amenities ("God, spa, vitamins") and in the context of a relativistic "pluralistic theology of religions". The course of events of the debate in the CHurch of the first centuries can teach us how important dogma is.

Lecture, assessment is based on a single examination at the end of the course.

Course examination according to § 7, statute section on "study-law regulations"
