Introduction to Cultural Studies

This lecture will focus on fundamental aspects of cultural studies.
Presention of different concepts of 'culture'; theoretical and methodological approaches to interculturality research; forms of interculturality, phenomena of social perception; processes of cultural transfer.
This lecture will comprise PowerPoint Presentations as well as selected reading.
Assessment will be carried out in the form of a multiple-choice test.
Literature will be communicated via OLAT.
Students do not have to fulfil any prerequisites to attend this lecture.
The lecture will not take place at the main university campus. Instead, it will be held in Hörsaal A at the Campus Technik (Technikerstraße).
