The students have knowledge about the most important approaches in gender studies and feminist theory, they are able to classify and explain them. They know examples of relevant current research works, selected results of empirical gender specific research as well as main the concepts and perspectives in their own discipline. They are able to connect gender with other scientific perspectives such as as sexuality, nationality, class and race.

 

In this course students acquire a survey of different approaches and perspectives of gender studies. Social and cultural gender relations are analysed and discussed.
