Critical analysis of historical sources. The acquisition of key qualifications needed for the successful completion of pro-seminars and seminars; the acquisition of communicative and presentational competencies.

Introduction to various aspects of ancient popular (mass) events like gladiator fights, sport games or music festivals,  

Readings of research literature and contextual criticism of exemplary historical evidences belonging to different categories of sources (inscriptions, coins, texts etc.).

Combination of lecture, reading tasks and source-presentations of the participants

Participation in discussions, presentation.

Will be discussed in the first lesson.
