This course focuses on improving students’ skills in translating technical texts from the field of law.
During the lecture we will analyse legal texts, compare legal systems, discuss the legal background, incorporate translation theories into translation strategies, and produce legal translations that meet the required quality standards.
Assignments, final test
Students are expected to prepare translations at home and will sit two tests.
Literature will be communicated via OLAT.
Students should have good knowledge of Spanish and basic translation skills.
This lecture is part of the Modules 6A and 7A.
