The aim of the seminar is the critical examination of conspiracy theories, such as those of the so-called "Querdenkenbewegung". After attending the course, students will be familiar with central social science debates on the topic.
The course deals with theoretical basic texts on conspiracy theories
from a sociological and social psychological perspective. Ideologies and
worldviews are presented and countermeasures are
discussed.
