Development of a substantial understanding of Christian spirituality, biblically grounded, theologically reflected and interdisciplinarily mediated. A deeper understanding of narrative and dramatic theology and the ability to apply it to concrete experiences, narratives and literary representations.

The world is shaken by crises, and many people feel the same way about their own lives. A crucial question here is: where do people get the motivation, inspiration and strength to change their lives for the better in a sustainable way, e.g. to reduce their ecological footprint or to live a practice of non-violent resistance, as we would also need for the major military conflicts.
In the Gospels, Jesus proclaims the Kingdom of God in words and deeds with which he implants "seeds of the Kingdom of God" in people's hearts. These are kairos experiences that carry a "core power" for a comprehensive renewal - also in the way that missed experiences of grace can cause destruction.
In the seminar we will develop these connections biblically, deepen them with exegetical literature and bring them into context with today's experiences of grace as well as corresponding theological typologies and criteriologies (e.g. by Karl Rahner). We will look at testimonies and literary thematisations of experiences of grace from different Christian and religious currents and pay special attention to experiences in the secular environment. For this we will consider philosophical concepts such as natality (Hannah Arendt) and the more recent philosophy of kairos and event (from Heidegger to Derrida).

Development of biblical statements relevant to the topic in discussion and on the basis of exegetical literature.
Practising narrative and dramatic theology by exploring biographical testimonies and literary texts.
