Students are able to name connections between literature and cultural history with the example of representative authors, works and genres. They can outline the interactions between developments in society, literature and cultural history and are able to independently analyze and interpret literary texts based on scientific standards. 

The Robinsonade is a genre that has broken linguistic and historical boundaries. If we concentrate on German-language representatives of the genre in this seminar, this is an oversimplification. However, based on articles on genre theory and genre history, we will not only read texts as Robinsonades that at first glance belong to the genre. Rather, we will also 'dare' to read texts that break with characteristics of the Robinsonade - for example, the aspect that the 'hero' of the Robinsonade is a man.

Combined, attendance and participation, protocoll of presentations, one scientific seminar paper (10-12 pages)
