Students learn about the fundamentals of liaison interpreting. Apart from extraordinary foreign language skills, these fundamentals include: excellent general education and ample background knowledge in a wide variety of topics, professional work attitude, above-average language skills, extensive preparation (content and language) of interpreting jobs, empathy etc.

Students will practice liaison interpreting in a variety of different settings (vacation, hotel, hospital,...).

Small role plays and other exercises will give students an opportunity to practice liaison interpreting.

Continuous assessment, presentation, interpreting test.

Successfully completed compulsory module 15.

Before completing the entrance and orientation phase of studies (StEOP) students may not acquire more than 30 ECTS points overall.
