Students will acquire basic interpreting skills and will be able to interpret a conversation from and into a foreign language. 

Students will focus on different topics and situations from everyday life where interpreters might be needed.

Short presentations, discussions, role plays with changing roles. The topics will be announced in advance to let students prepare terminology for each lesson.

Continuous assessment of the interpreting situations. The lexical preparation can be taken into consideration too.

You will receive all information about relevant literature as well as worksheets, source texts, etc. (files, copies) in class.

Compulsory Module 15 (Translation 2 into French, Translation 2 into German, Stegreif) or Elective Module 2 or after Elective Module 4

Before completing the entrance and orientation phase of studies (StEOP) students may not acquire more than 22 ECTS points overall.
