Expanded knowledge and independent application of art-historical methods on examples referred to in the lecture

On the basis of selected examples, the development of sculpture in Italy from the early 15th century to the middle of the 16th century will be presented not only in its formal development, but also questioned with regard to its changing functions. The presentations are dedicated to works and groups of works that exemplarily represent the different roles of sculpture
