Students know relevant survey knowledge in the field of digital humanities and cultural studies and their GLAM application areas and are able to abstract it. They are able to interpret the challenges at the interfaces between digital technology and the preservation of cultural assets and to critically discuss the impact of digital transformation on the disciplines of humanities and cultural studies as well as GLAM institutions.
Development of theoretical interface competencies between digital humanities and cultural studies as well as GLAM institutions (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, Museums or Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums), which concern e.g. questions of data protection, archiving, curation of data, exhibiting, public history, crowdsourcing, game studies and many more. This includes providing in-depth background knowledge in the field of DCD based on disciplinarily diverse key texts from the humanities, media studies, cultural studies, library studies, or information studies.
