winter semester 2023/2024 | Last update: 02.10.2023 | Place course on memo listAcquisition of skills for dealing with historic sources and studies critically, as well as thecompetence to present the newly-gained knowledge verbally and/or in writing; Acquisition of the competence to apply methods of auxiliary sciences.
Discussion of quantitative sources of the economical and social history, in particular statistics and databases, based on primary and secondary sources as well as scientific literature.
Participation, practical exercises, group work, discussion and criticism of the examples presented, writing a source comment.
Active participation, group work, practical exercises and written presentation of source-critical considerations on a quantitative source in the subject of economic and social history (approx. 5 pages).
