The students can give an overview of different aspects of evolution and perception of exemplary selected spaces on different time scales.
The lecture deals exemplarily with issues of spatial evolution and perception of space with reference to the factor time from two different scientific perspectives: the natural sciences using physical geography as an example and the humanities using history as an example. On the one hand, questions of long-term climate and environmental change during the Ice Ages and the Holocene will be dealt with; on the other hand, the genesis of spatial concepts, the social production of space and the concept of cultural landscape will be discussed in more detail.
Lecture, supported by powerpoint presentation. Private study of workload and literature.
